UNCF and Wells Fargo: A Successful National Partnership

UNCF and Wells Fargo maintain a long-standing relationship supporting the principle of providing a quality education to all. Wells Fargo provides support to a number of UNCF programs, including:

Wells Fargo UNCF Scholarship

A scholarship program designed to support low-income students attending the nation’s historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The Wells Fargo UNCF Scholarship is available to students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in: finance, business, economics, accounting, computer science, or engineering and supports students attending UNCF-member institutions who require “last dollar” assistance; scholarships that close the financial gap required for the student to complete their academic year of study. The program provides financial assistance, offers access to internship and recruitment opportunities, and important information on specialized financial literacy programs designed to educate young adults on the benefits and pitfalls of debt management.

UNCF Social Entrepreneurship Program

A two-year leadership and talent development initiative designed to engage more African-Americans in creating and/or managing social enterprises around K-12 educational reform in America. As K-12 education fellows, students gain the skills they need to create and manage effective, high impact, financially sustainable social change organizations.

UNCF Empower Me Tour

An annual college and career preparation campus tour designed to ignite a movement among young people, motivating them toward academic excellence, personal and financial responsibility, and focusing them on building knowledge and assets to chart their own destiny.

“A Mind Is...” Gala

The annual celebration brings together over 1,500 friends and supporters, including board members, college presidents, corporate partners, students, and alumni to raise unrestricted funds for UNCF.

UNCF An Evening of Stars®

A nationally-televised program to support talented students with dreams of getting a college education. The show is one of UNCF’s most successful and important brand awareness and fund-raising events. It emphasizes the importance of higher education, while spotlighting the achievements of UNCF students, alumni, member institutions, supporters and sponsors.
